Marissa Deitz is a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based out of Oakland, CA. Marissa now writes songs under the moniker Sucker Crush, expanding or collapsing the project with a rotating cast of players featuring string sections, three part harmonies, distorted guitars, or delicate solo fingerpicking. Deitz also facilitates an online songwriting community called Music Every Week, which has provided resources and creative accountability for songwriters since 2019.
