Kyle Bruckmann now living dispersed across the country, Splinter Reeds is arguably the most adventurous reed quintet on the contemporary music circuit. Since their 2013 founding, they have premiered dozens of works written for them, conducted academic residencies across the country, and appeared at festivals including Long Play, Time:Spans (NYC), FeNAM (Sacramento), Taproot (UC Davis), and Music Current (Dublin, Ireland).
This program will consist entirely of works they've never before performed in the Bay Area, and feature guest pianist Kate Campbell.
