Kevin Corcoran and
Jacob Felix Heule are a Bay Area percussion duo focused on activating drums with surface friction, found objects, and amplification. With emphasis on texture and tone, they approach musical time as field for events rather than rhythmic pulse. Working together regularly for years, in duo and with various collaborators, they shape improvisations through a shared language of extended techniques.

James Fei (b. Taipei, Taiwan) is a composer, saxophonist and electronic musician. Works by Fei have been performed by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the S.E.M. Ensemble, Bang on a Can All-Stars, MATA Micro Orchestra and Noord-Hollands Philharmonisch Orkest. Recordings can be found on Leo Records, Improvised Music from Japan, CRI, Krabbesholm and Organized Sound. Fei taught at Mills College from 2006 to 2026.

Bill Hsu works with electronics and interactive video. He uses gestural interfaces to control animation and sound synthesis. He is inspired by improvisers who have developed rich palettes of extended techniques.
